Kerala info was initailally an academic project, but later on finding the potential of the project and its influence, it was uploaded as a website. The most ineresting and attractive feature of this project is that it is completely implemented using open source tools.The technologies incorporated here are GRASS GIS, UMN MapServer, PostgreSQL, QuantumGIS, MySQL, CartoWeb,using GNU/LINUX as platform.
This project was visualised and implemented inorder to help the user to know KERALA `the Gods Own Country` better. Our aim is to diversify this project to make it a state-level decision support system. We are also planning to improve the interface with an advanced search and PyWPS like features.
